Electrician

The Electrician should have commercial experience, focused on safety, quality and customer satisfaction. Adept in performing electrical installations, maintenance and repairs in commercial buildings and plant facilities; knowledgeable in all areas of the national electrical code; and excel at analyzing and solving problems with various electrical controls and systems.
Duties and responsibilities:
· Measure, cut, thread and bend conduit in an effective and efficient manner.
· Install and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures
· Install conduit and pipes to house electrical wires and cables, ensuring piping complies with electrical codes.
· Install circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
· Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
· Inspect and troubleshoot electrical components and systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
· Layout building walls, slabs, and rough slabs.
· Rough walls and ceilings with MC Cable.
· Terminating panels, devices, and motors.
· Replace conduit, wiring and circuit breakers as needed.
· Monitors and communicates the progress of assignments to management.
· Set up and perform wire pulls.
· Ability to supervise and coach Electrical Apprentices.
· Gather, organize, and plan out material needed.
· Recording of daily and weekly work schedule.
· Perform general maintenance of tools and equipment as needed.
· Complete required safety trainings and help maintain safe conditions for self and others.
· Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Required skills and abilities:
· Displays professional appearance and conduct.
· Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with coworkers, suppliers and customers.
· Safely and effectively use drills, saws, benders, threading equipment, ladders, volt and amp meters and company vehicles.
· Ability to use equipment i.e. forklift, aerial lift, boom lift, mini ex, skid steer
· Maintains a high attention to detail.
· Ability to change focus and assignments with short notice.
· Ability to work in tight spaces and locations off the ground.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Valid driver’s license.
Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
· Ability to read diagrams, blueprints and other specifications.
· Procore experience, desired but not required.
