The Control Panel Builder/ Technician assembles and constructs new units by electronic sub-assemblies; building complete electronic and mechanical assemblies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Assembles new units in compliance with Britech Quality System requirements.-Ensures that units are not physically damaged during the assembling and packing processes.-Manage workload effectively, informing the Production Supervisor of any foreseeable delays in completion of tasks or product quality risks.-Ensures an orderly and clean environment of the work area. Qualifications/Skills Required:-Is familiar with the operation of basic electronic test devices including a multimeter.-Is familiar with the operation of basic mechanical measurement devices including a micrometer and digital calipers.-Is able to follow block diagrams, wiring diagrams and engineering drawings in the course of assembling.-Is familiar with the use of wiring and crimp tools and is able to construct and modify wiring harnesses according to engineering drawings.-Is able to follow written process instructions and complete forms clearly and legibly during the assembly and test processes.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time• Protective eyewear and footwear is required.• Be able to lift units weighing 70lbs without assistance to at least waist height.• Must possess sufficient visual acuity to complete detailed tasks with reasonable sight aids where appropriate (magnifying lights).• Possess the ability to complete work neatly to predetermined standards of workmanship.• Be customer-focused, acknowledging the importance of quality of workmanship and its impact on customer satisfaction.• Performs other duties as assigned.
