Salary: 25.00/hr+

Our client, a manufacturer specializing in digital print in Mississauga, is looking for a prepress operator to join their organization on a temporary to permanent basis.  If you have 3+ years of experience in a prepress operator role, have an eye for color theory and are looking to join a growing team, we have a role for you.

 

What our client offers:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
  • 25.00/hr.+ (depending on experience)
  • Benefits, Vacation and additional perks are provided once the client has hired directly, after the temporary period

 

What is the role:

  • Prepare and review artwork files (PDF, InDesign, Illustrator) to ensure they are production-ready for textile and fabric printing
  • Conduct detailed preflight checks, confirming proper resolution, color profiles, fonts, image placement, and pattern repeats required for fabric production
  • Collaborate closely with account managers to resolve artwork and file preparation issues quickly and efficiently
  • Set up files for fabric printing processes (such as digital textile or screen printing), ensuring proper layout, scaling, and repeat patterns for accurate production runs
  • Manage color proofing and maintain color consistency between digital proofs, fabric strike-offs, and final printed textiles
  • Operate and maintain digital textile print workflow systems software and related production equipment
  • Troubleshoot artwork, color matching, and print setup issues while coordinating with design, production, and print teams to meet deadlines
  • Review printed fabric samples and production runs to ensure quality, color accuracy, and design integrity meet client specifications

 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in prepress, print production, or file preparation within a printing or textile production environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
  • Experience preparing artwork for digital textile printing, screen printing, or fabric production is considered an asset
  • Solid understanding of color management, color profiles, pattern repeats, and print file setup
  • Familiarity with software and digital print workflow systems
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with account managers, customer service teams, and production staff
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot print, color, and file preparation issues
