Childcare Director oversees the day-to-day operations of the center. The Childcare Director will provide strong leadership, ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children,

and collaborate with staff to promote the well-being and development of each child in our care. Full time, $55K DOE

 

Program Management:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive and developmentally appropriate childcare

program.

  • Ensure adherence to state licensing requirements and regulations.

Staff Leadership:

  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise childcare center staff.
  • Provide ongoing professional development opportunities for staff members.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Curriculum Development:

  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to design and implement an engaging and educational curriculum.
  • Ensure that curriculum aligns with the center's philosophy and meets the needs of diverse learners.

Parent Communication:

  • Establish and maintain open lines of communication with parents and guardians.
  • Conduct regular parent meetings and conferences to discuss child development and

address concerns.

Enrollment and Admissions:

  • Manage the enrollment process, including conducting tours and orientations for

prospective families.

  • Maintain accurate records of enrollment, attendance, and child health information.

Budget and Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the childcare center's budget.
  • Monitor expenses and ensure fiscal responsibility.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Oversee emergency procedures and drills.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for children.

Community Engagement:

  • Build positive relationships with the local community, agencies, and organizations.
  • Represent the childcare center at community events and functions.

Quality Improvement:

  • Implement and maintain quality improvement initiatives.
  • Stay informed about best practices and trends in early childhood education.
