Inventory Coordinator — Key Responsibilities

  • Create and process stock transfer orders in Dynamics 365 Business Central for inter-warehouse movements, 3PL transfers, and internal location changes.
  • Process inbound inventory transactions—including supplier receipts, transfer-ins, and returns—in alignment with warehouse documentation and approvals.
  • Support inventory setup and processing for promotions, kits, and product launches, including required stock movements and system adjustments.
  • Prepare and maintain routine inventory reports (e.g., open transfers, pending receipts, items requiring cycle counts) and distribute updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist with cycle counts and spot checks; document findings, record approved adjustments in Business Central, and escalate recurring discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized electronic records of all inventory documentation, including transfer forms, count sheets, approvals, and write-off forms.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse, 3PL partners, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Finance to resolve basic discrepancies involving quantities, locations, or documentation.
  • Support month-end inventory activities such as confirming open transfers, verifying pending transactions, and providing information for financial reconciliations.
  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures and internal controls; identify opportunities to simplify, clarify, or improve inventory processes.
  • Contribute to ad hoc inventory initiatives such as product changes, relocations, and system clean-up tasks as assigned by the manager.

Ideal Skills, Competencies & Experience

Skills

  • Strong administrative abilities with exceptional attention to detail in data entry and documentation.
  • Working knowledge of inventory transactions (receipts, transfers, adjustments, returns) within an ERP environment—Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook, including managing spreadsheets, trackers, and inbox workload.
  • Ability to interpret pick lists, transfer requests, and basic inventory reports.

Experience

  • 2–3 years of experience in inventory coordination, logistics, warehouse administration, or supply chain support.
  • Hands-on experience using ERP systems in a product-based environment; familiarity with Business Central is a plus.
  • Exposure to warehouse operations or 3PL partners, with an understanding of physical vs. system inventory.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with operations, customer service, and finance teams is desirable.
