Project Manager / Estimator

Located in Sterling, VA

Salary: $95,000 - $130,000

Position Overview:

The Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of concrete construction projects from initial bid through completion. This role also involves preparing accurate cost estimates, managing budgets, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with company standards and client expectations.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for concrete projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to determine the scope of work.
• Solicit and evaluate bids from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
• Coordinate and communicate with clients, architects, engineers, and field crews.
• Oversee project execution, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor project progress and adjust as needed to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and address issues.
• Manage change orders and project closeout processes.

 Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in concrete construction estimating and project management.
• Strong knowledge of concrete materials, methods, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in estimating software and the MS Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites.

 Work Environment:

• A combination of office and field work.
• Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• May require extended hours during peak project periods.
