Job Summary
The ProNest Layout Technician plays a crucial role in manufacturing. They are responsible for creating efficient and accurate layouts for cutting and shaping metal parts using ProNest software. This role combines technical expertise, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ProNest or similar nesting software. A firm understanding of CNC machining processes and metal fabrication techniques and the ability to read engineering drawings and SOLIDworks files.
- Attention to Detail: Precision is critical in layout optimization to minimize waste and ensure accurate part.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot nesting issues and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Communication: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Inventory: Assist in cycle counting of full, half, and remnant plate on a reoccuring basis. This position is involved in both the inventory of plate and the consumption of plate.

Must Have:
- Valid drivers license.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

- Proficiency in ProNest software.

- Safety orientated mindset.
Nice to Have:
- AutoCAD or SOLIDworks experience.
- Previous industry experience.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, and move for extended periods of time.
- Able to wrok in varying conditions.
- Ability to push, pull, grab items above the head and floor level.

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, or move for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to bend, crouch, and kneel regulary.
- Able to push, pull, grasp items above head and floor level.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and motions as required by the job.
- Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Occassionally required to climb ladders or stairs.
- Must have mnanual desterity and hand-eye coordination for using tools or equipment.
