Commercial Maintenance Technician – $26.44–$28.84/hr

We are hiring an experienced Commercial Maintenance Technician for a well-established restaurant and hospitality company based in Lewiston, ID. This position supports multiple restaurant, warehouse, and catering facilities throughout Lewiston, Clarkston, and Moscow.

We're looking for a mechanically inclined, experienced maintenance professional who can independently troubleshoot problems, repair commercial kitchen equipment, and tackle a wide variety of facility maintenance needs. Pay & Schedule

Pay: $26.44–$28.84 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, day shift
Home Location: Lewiston, ID
Service Area: Lewiston, ID; Clarkston, WA; and Moscow, ID

Job Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and replace commercial kitchen equipment, including fryers, ovens, grills, dish machines, and exhaust systems.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance across multiple restaurant, warehouse, and catering locations.
Respond to maintenance requests and service calls from restaurant managers and operations teams.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general facility issues.
Perform a variety of maintenance tasks involving carpentry, plumbing, concrete, welding, painting, and equipment replacement.
Inspect facilities and equipment to identify potential failures, safety concerns, and needed repairs.
Complete preventative maintenance schedules, service logs, and maintenance records.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors when specialized repairs are needed.
Travel between facilities to provide on-site maintenance and emergency repair support.

Approximately 60–70% of this position involves equipment repair, troubleshooting, and replacement.

Qualifications

Previous maintenance or mechanical repair experience required. This is not an entry-level position.
Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to independently diagnose and resolve equipment problems.
Experience repairing appliances, commercial equipment, machinery, or mechanical systems.
Working knowledge of general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other repair disciplines.
Ability and willingness to learn new skills and handle a variety of maintenance responsibilities.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple service requests across different facilities.
Dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
Ability to travel between locations throughout Lewiston, Clarkston, and Moscow.

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:

Commercial kitchen equipment repair
Restaurant or hospitality facility maintenance
HVAC and refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers and freezers
Commercial appliance repair
Welding, plumbing, electrical, or general construction

Candidates do not need to be experts in every maintenance discipline, but they must have a solid foundation in mechanical repair and be willing and able to expand their skills.
