Location: Irwin Pay Rate: Based on Experience (BOE) Schedule: 2nd Shift — Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machinery to produce precision parts according to blueprints and specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to maintain quality and efficiency in a production environment.
Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision components
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
Perform tool changes, offsets, and basic program adjustments as needed
Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure quality standards
Measure parts using precision measuring instruments
Monitor machine operation and identify potential issues
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
CNC machines including Mazak and Haas Automation
Calipers
Micrometers
Gauges and other precision measuring tools
Experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts
