Salary: $25.00 an hour

Express Employment of Downey is currently seeking a CHECK/STRAIGHTENER ASSOCIATE for an aerospace company in the city of Gardena, CA.

Schedule: NIGHT SHIFT, 4PM to 2:30AM (Monday through Friday) possible overtime
Pay: $25.00 an hour

Job Responsibilities:

• Use hand tools and shrinking-stretchers to flatten, form, shape, metal parts as described by work Instructions
• Read/follow basic blueprints
• Use computer to clock in/out Job Activity in MRP System
• Use measuring tools - Jigs, Fixtures, Shop Aids to ensure required dimensions are achieved
• Other general labor tasks as needed (ADAPTABILITY IS KEY)

Skills

• 3+ years metal straightening experience REQUIRED
• Familiar with machine shop equipment and general operations (e.g. set up and running of drill presses, grinders, clamps, holding devises, shop aids, fixtures, measuring devices etc.)
• MUST be willing to learn on the job (trainable)
• Ability to follow instructions
• Team player
• Strong work ethic
• Punctual
