The Manufacturing Technician – Modular Home Production is responsible for building and assembling residential homes within a controlled manufacturing environment. Technicians work as part of a production team constructing floors, walls, roofs, and interior components of modular homes while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency standards are met.
This role requires hands-on construction experience and the ability to follow blueprints, production schedules, and engineering specifications.
Construct and assemble modular home components including floors, walls, ceilings, and roof systems
Install framing, sheathing, insulation, drywall, and structural components
Assist with installation of doors, windows, cabinetry, and interior finishes
Perform fastening, cutting, measuring, and material layout according to plans
Interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and production specifications
Ensure proper measurements, alignment, and structural accuracy
Follow engineered building standards and structural requirements
Inspect work to ensure homes meet quality and safety standards
Verify proper installation of structural components and materials
Identify and report construction issues or material defects
Maintain an organized and efficient workspace
Assist team members in meeting daily production goals
Support multiple stations on the manufacturing line as needed
Follow company safety policies and OSHA standards
Properly operate tools and equipment
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Experience using power tools, framing tools, nail guns, and measuring equipment
Ability to read tape measures and construction drawings
Basic knowledge of residential construction methods
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
1–3+ years of experience in construction, carpentry, manufacturing, or modular home building
Experience with framing, drywall, roofing, or interior finish work preferred
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical work throughout the shift
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
