Position: Manufacturing Assembly Operator

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Assembly Operator to work with our plastic injection and engraving machines. This role involves operating automated machinery, assembling utility box covers, and ensuring high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plastic Injection Machines:

  • Operate two plastic injection machines for producing small, medium, and large utility box covers.
  • Perform simple assembly tasks: attach lids to bases, secure with washers and screws using a screwdriver.
  • Stack finished covers onto skids for material handling and shipping.

• Engraving Machine:

  • Load covers onto the engraving machine.
  • Initiate and monitor the engraving process based on customer specifications.
  • Stack engraved covers for further processing.

Qualifications:

• Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment with ongoing construction.
  • Capability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (35 lbs. independently, 35-50 lbs. with assistance or devices).

• Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Up to one year of related experience or training. Manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Ability to use small electric tools (drills, nut drivers, cutters).
  • Strong ability to follow directions and work effectively in a team.
  • Quick learner with attention to detail.

• Vision Requirements:

  • Must have close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Shift and Compensation:

• Shift Differential: $2 per hour differential on 2nd shift
• M-F 3pm-11:30pm
