We have an opening for a Yard Worker/Forklift Operator position working at a company located in Athens, AL that manufactures products for the sewer and water industries. This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time placement.

Skills/Qualifications

Must have previous experience driving a forklift.

Must be willing to climb silos.

Must have a command of the English language.

Must have good communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work outdoors regardless of weather conditions.

Must be capable of working an entire work week on a consistent basis.

Punctuality and dependability.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

Operate forklifts to handle products and warehouse materials.

Arrange and organize products and material in a warehouse.

Prepare and verify shipment papers.

Organize transportation of materials in warehouse.

Inspect and verify products, materials, and equipment before storing them in warehouse.

Execute loading and unloading operations.

Store unused raw materials in proper area when processes are complete.

Ensure compliance with safety procedures and practices in warehouse operations.

Responsible for completing any assignments given by Supervisor, even those assignments not specifically listed in this job description.
