We have an opening for a Material Handler position working at a farmer-owned agricultural supplier located in Decatur, AL. This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time placement.

 

Skills/Qualifications

Must have previous experience driving a forklift in a warehouse environment.

Must have previous experience working with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets.

Must have a command of the English language.

Ability to work outdoors regardless of weather conditions.

Must be capable of working an entire work week on a consistent basis.

Punctuality and dependability.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

Operate a forklift to transport inbound products for storage and outbound products for delivery.

Load/unload pallets (e.g., pulling and placing bags on pallets, operating bag machinery).

Handle and store hazardous materials, such as pesticides, fertilizers, or chemicals, in compliance with safety regulations and guidelines

Ensure hazardous materials are labeled correctly, stored securely, and segregated to prevent chemical reactions or contamination.

Clean warehouse and site to ensure a welcoming environment, as well as safe, sanitary working conditions.

Assist warehouse/location employees with various duties, as assigned by the supervisor.

Follow all safety regulations and guidelines.
