CDL drivers transport goods between locations using tractor-trailers and heavy trucks. They must follow all DOT, traffic, and safety regulations while maintaining on-time delivery schedules. This position requires a CDL-A license, and the ability to drive both automatic and manual transmissions is strongly preferred. The role involves long-distance daytime driving, but no overnight travel—drivers return home daily.
Transport goods safely using a CDL-A tractor-trailer.
Drive long distances during the day (e.g., Wilmington and back, plus additional routes as needed).
Follow all DOT regulations, company safety standards, and traffic laws.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
Manage delivery paperwork and navigate routes independently.
Valid CDL-A license.
Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission trucks.
Clean, verifiable driving record (MVR check required).
Current DOT Medical Card.
Strong understanding of DOT safety regulations.
Ability to handle long-distance driving with consistent professionalism.
Good customer service and communication skills.
