Landscape Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

The Field Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine commercial and residential landscape maintenance while working under the direction of a Maintenance Foreman. This is a physically active outdoor position that requires attention to detail, safe equipment operation, and strong teamwork skills.

Essential Responsibilities

• Operate walk-behind and zero-turn mowers to maintain lawns and landscapes
• Perform string trimming and edging around sidewalks, curbs, and landscaped areas
• Prune shrubs and maintain planting beds
• Remove weeds and perform detailed property clean-up
• Install mulch and assist with seasonal landscape clean-up projects
• Assist with routine equipment maintenance, including oil changes, blade replacements, and equipment cleaning
• Wash and maintain company trucks, trailers, and equipment
• Communicate site conditions, concerns, and maintenance needs to supervisors
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and best practices
• Maintain a professional and positive attitude while working with team members

Qualifications

• Previous landscape maintenance experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment and tools
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Valid driver's license preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and work on your feet for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity
• Comfortable working around dust, noise, insects, and uneven terrain
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
