Die Repair Technician

 

A well-established manufacturing facility in Edinburgh is growing and looking to add a Die Repair Technician to their Maintenance team!

 

If you enjoy hands-on mechanical work, problem solving, and building/repairing precision tools, this could be a great fit for you.

 

 

 

Pay/Benefits:

  • Up to $25/hr based on experience

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday 3:30pm – 12am    
  • Overtime as needed

Job Duties:

    • Build fixtures using tools and dies; create dies as needed to support production
    • Repair and rebuild dies, molds, jigs, tools, and fixtures
    • Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble tooling components
    • Read and interpret blueprints and complex schematics
    • Inspect completed dies and tools for defects that impact performance
    • Test equipment and tooling to ensure proper setup and functionality
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
    • Perform additional maintenance-related tasks as assigned
    • Experience with CAD software or welding (TIG/MIG) is a plus

 

Requirements:

    • Minimum 6 months of die repair or die maintenance experience
    • Proficiency using hand tools and measuring equipment
    • Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
    • Knowledge of metallic properties is helpful
    • Able to work independently and alongside engineers and machinists
