We are seeking dependable and motivated individuals to join a distribution team as a Commodities Team Member / Wire Cutter Machine Operator. This role plays a critical part in fulfilling customer orders by cutting wire to specifications, preparing materials for shipment, and supporting overall warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Pay: $19.00 – $22.00 per hour (based on experience)
Shift Differential: +$2.00 per hour for 3rd shift
Total Potential Pay: $21.00 – $24.00 per hour

Work Hours: Sunday – Thursday, 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM

Position Summary

The Commodities Team Member supports the efficient processing of customer orders by cutting wire to customer specifications, handling pipe and conduit, and preparing materials for shipment. This role involves forklift operation, material handling, and order preparation while maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and productivity.

Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities

• Cut wire to customer specifications using wire cutting machinery

• Pick and prepare pipe, wire, and conduit orders accurately

• Receive and unload commodities from delivery trucks

• Operate forklift equipment to move and locate inventory throughout the warehouse

• Prepare products for delivery by palletizing, banding, labeling, and staging materials

• Secure and load materials for customer deliveries

• Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment

• Assist with general warehouse operations and cross-train in other departments as needed

• Participate in team lifts and support teammates during high workload periods

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs on a consistent basis

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Ability to operate or learn forklift equipment

• Ability to work extended shifts when required to complete tasks

• Strong dependability and work ethic

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or distribution center experience

• Forklift experience

• Experience using handheld RF scanners

• Knowledge of warehouse systems such as Eclipse (preferred but not required)

• Frequent lifting, walking, bending, and reaching
