Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting an experienced Diesel Mechanic on behalf of a well-established industrial manufacturing company. This role is ideal for a hands-on mechanic who is confident maintaining heavy trucks and industrial equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday

• Shift: 5:30 AM start

Pay

• Starting at $30.00/hour+

• Pay will be based on experience

Requirements

• Diesel mechanic experience required

• Experience working on heavy-duty trucks and forklifts

• Ability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

• Strong troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills

Equipment & Responsibilities

The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining a mixed fleet of trucks and warehouse equipment, including:

• Perform preventive maintenance on a fleet of 10 Mack, Freightliner, and Western Star heavy trucks

• Maintain and service 20 Toyota propane forklifts

• Conduct equipment inspections, adjustments, and component replacements

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues

• Repair and service brakes, tires, and suspension systems

• Remove and replace hydraulic cylinder seals and hydraulic hoses

• Perform 12-volt electrical repairs, including wiring, battery systems, and diagnostics

• Complete light machining work using an in-house lathe

• Perform welding repairs to restore or reinforce equipment components
