Refrigeration / Maintenance Technician

Express Employment on 61st and Center is currently recruiting for a Refrigeration / Maintenance Technician to join a company in Omaha, NE!

Position Details:
•    Type: Evaluation Hire
•    Schedule: 3rd shift
•    Location: Omaha, NE
•    Pay/Salary: Up to $32/hour

Job Duties:
•    Inspect, maintain, and repair industrial refrigeration systems, compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, and associated controls.
•    Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on refrigeration equipment and facility machinery.
•    Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues and implement effective repairs.
•    Monitor system performance, pressures, temperatures, and ammonia levels (if applicable) to ensure safe operation.
•    Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and equipment documentation.
•    Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
•    Perform general facility maintenance including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs as needed.
•    Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
•    Previous experience working with industrial refrigeration systems (ammonia experience preferred).
•    Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
•    Knowledge of compressors, pumps, motors, valves, and refrigeration controls.
•    Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
•    Basic welding, electrical, and plumbing skills are a plus.
•    EPA certification or refrigeration certification preferred.
