Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable part-time Shipping/Receiving Clerk. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments and communicating with clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience and be computer savvy.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damages or discrepancies
• Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and labeling products according to order specifications
• Operate pallet jacks to load and unload freight safely and efficiently
• Ensure accurate stock levels through proper stocking, order picking, and inventory replenishment procedures
• Assist with order fulfillment processes including picking & packing, order picking, and packaging for shipment
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment to promote safety and efficiency in shipping & receiving activities
• Support warehouse distribution operations by coordinating with other departments such as sales and procurement
• Use basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during stock handling
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse distribution processes

Qualifications

• Prior experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or small distribution centers is highly preferred
• Proficiency with computers
• Strong understanding of order fulfillment procedures including picking & packing techniques
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and measurements
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and documentation
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
