Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations for an industrial supply manufacturing company in Huntington Beach. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and accounting principles. Duties
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements in accordance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Manage all aspects of governmental and non-profit accounting, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Lead the development and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to support organizational objectives.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger accounting to maintain precise financial records.
- Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and collections.
- Ensure effective cash management through monitoring cash flow, forecasting liquidity needs, and optimizing banking relationships.
- Oversee regulatory reporting requirements and coordinate external audits with auditors to ensure compliance.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, analysis, and commentary for senior management and stakeholders.
- Utilize accounting software such as Sage, SAP, or similar platforms to streamline financial operations.
- Support technical accounting issues including revenue recognition, lease accounting, or complex transactions.
- Ensure accurate account reconciliation by verifying debits & credits within the general ledger system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 3+ years experience in corporate accounting
- Proven expertise in IFRS, GAAP standards, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively.
- Experience in financial report writing, forecasting, budgeting, and technical accounting issues.
