Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk. This role is essential in supporting the organization’s financial operations by performing accurate data entry, account reconciliation, and maintaining comprehensive financial records. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and be proficient with various accounting software systems. Duties

• Perform data entry for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions using software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Workday.
• Reconcile balance sheets and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closing procedures in compliance with GAAP standards.
• Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain organized records of financial documents, supporting audit preparations and internal reviews.
• Collaborate with internal teams on budgeting, financial reporting, and process improvements.

Skills

• Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and governmental accounting standards.
• Knowledge of technical accounting concepts related to journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation.
• Experience with financial concepts such as budgeting, credit analysis, and account analysis.
• Ability to perform high-volume data entry accurately using 10-key typing skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills combined with effective communication abilities.
