Welder / Shop Apprentice – Lakeland, FL
We’re hiring a reliable, hands-on Welder to support fence fabrication and shop production. If you’re dependable, mechanically inclined, and not afraid to work hard in the Florida heat, we want to talk to you.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with welding, cutting, and fabricating custom fence components using hand and power tools.
Support installation crews and shop foreman by preparing materials, pulling orders, and maintaining work areas.

 

Expected Results
Deliver clean, accurate welds and properly prepped materials for field installation.
Maintain a safe, efficient, and organized work environment to support daily operations.

 

Skills Required
Basic MIG welding and metal fabrication skills.
Ability to read tape measures, use saws, and operate hand/power tools with precision.

 

Experience Required
Previous shop or fabrication experience preferred but not required—willing to train motivated candidates.
Experience working outdoors or in trades environments is a strong plus.

 

Qualities Required
Dependable, punctual, and eager to learn.
Works well in a team, follows instructions, and maintains a safety-first mindset.

 

Education Requirements
No formal degree required.
Must be able to pass a drug test and provide valid identification.

 

Physical Requirements
Lift and carry up to 60 lbs regularly.
Able to work in Florida heat and on your feet throughout the day.

 

Equipment Used
MIG welder, hand tools, power tools, saws, grinders, and measuring devices.
Material handling equipment for loading/unloading orders.
