We are seeking a skilled Compound Miter Saw Operator to support the production of window and door components. This role involves precision cutting, strict adherence to safety standards, and consistent quality control to ensure materials meet exact specifications for assembly.

Key Responsibilities

1. Material Cutting & Production Support

• Operate a compound miter saw to cut window and door components to precise measurements.
• Perform angle, bevel, and compound cuts in accordance with production drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret work orders, diagrams, and measurement guides.

2. Equipment Operation, Setup & Maintenance

• Set up saws for daily production runs, ensuring blades, fences, and stops are properly adjusted.
• Perform routine maintenance, such as blade inspections and cleaning, to keep equipment in safe working condition.
• Report mechanical or safety issues immediately to supervisors.

3. Safety & Quality Control

• Follow all plant safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and wear required PPE.
• Inspect cut materials for accuracy, defects, and consistency before sending to downstream production areas.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area to ensure efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a compound miter saw or related cutting equipment preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform accurate measurements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus.
