Job Summary

A Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other industrial trucks to move, load, unload, and organize materials in warehouses, storage yards, factories, and distribution centers. The role ensures efficient material handling while maintaining safety and inventory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.

• Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and storage areas.

• Transport raw materials, finished goods, and pallets within the facility.

• Stack and organize products in designated warehouse locations.

• Inspect forklifts daily to ensure proper operation and report any issues.

• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements.

• Follow company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.

• Assist with general warehouse duties such as picking, packing, and labeling.

• Keep work areas clean and organized.

• Communicate with warehouse staff and supervisors regarding inventory and logistics needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

• Previous warehouse or forklift experience preferred.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and warehouse procedures.

• Ability to lift heavy materials (often up to 50 lbs or more).
