Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Carbon Extruder Operator for a manufacturing client located in Eastlake, Ohio. This position is responsible for supporting production by operating and maintaining carbon extrusion equipment, ensuring materials are consistently supplied, and performing cutting processes on extruded carbon blocks. Candidates must have prior manufacturing experience, a strong work history, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend to extrusion machines by regularly filling hoppers to ensure continuous material supply for production

• Monitor extrusion equipment to ensure proper operation and product consistency

• Perform rough cuts of extruded carbon blocks directly from the extruders

• Finish cut carbon blocks using a cut saw as required to meet production specifications

• Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company safety policies

• Assist with machine setup, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting when necessary

• Follow production schedules and quality standards

• Complete additional tasks and duties as assigned by the shift lead or supervisor

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and handle 55 lb. bags of carbon material regularly

• Ability to stand and remain on feet for the duration of the shift

• Must be able to climb steps and work around industrial machinery

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing/production environment

Qualifications:

• Previous manufacturing or production experience required

• Experience operating extrusion equipment or similar machinery preferred

• Solid and consistent work history

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
