Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Job Summary:
Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a Front Counter Sales / Estimates position with a local lumber company in Fort Myers. This role involves assisting customers at the front counter, preparing estimates and quotes, and supporting order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, basic computer knowledge, and experience working in a similar retail or building materials environment.

This position may also require going into the lumber yard or warehouse to help pull orders and assist with materials as needed.

 

Job Duties:
• Assist customers at the front counter with products, pricing, and orders
• Prepare estimates and quotes and assist with measurements when needed
• Answer phones, take customer orders, and provide pricing information
• Pull hardware or materials for phone and walk-in orders
• Provide clear communication and professional service to ensure customer satisfaction
• Check voicemail messages daily and distribute to the appropriate personnel
• Refill brochures, restock materials, organize the design center, and keep the area clean
• Process daily account billing for the front desk
• Coordinate with dispatch regarding receiving and delivering products
• Order products from vendors when necessary
• Report inventory or product cost discrepancies to management
• Receive payments for current and past orders
• Assist in the warehouse or lumber yard when needed, including pulling product (lifting up to 50 lbs)

 

Qualifications:
• Strong customer service skills
• Previous experience in a similar role with companies
• Building materials or lumber sales experience is helpful
• Basic computer skills required
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Professional phone and communication skills
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• 60% employer-paid medical benefits (available after 90 days)
