Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Position Summary:
Under direct supervision, the Accounting Clerk performs a variety of duties within the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. This role supports accurate financial processing, vendor communication, and internal coordination to ensure timely and efficient accounting operations.

Work Scheudle: 7:30 am-4:30 pm, Mon-Fri

Type: Long Term Temporary 

Pay: $22-$25/hr. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Prepare and review invoices, bills, statements, and payment vouchers
  • Research and resolve discrepancies related to invoices, returns, credits, and billing issues
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial documents
  • Reconcile vendor statements and account balances
  • Maintain and update vendor and customer files
  • Prepare checks for signature and process payments
  • Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and discrepancies
  • Assist with collections efforts as needed
  • Support internal departments, including sales and marketing, with invoice requests and shipping verifications

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related financial role preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
