Ordnance Assembler

Pay: $20–$25/hour

We are seeking a detail-oriented Ordnance Assembler to support the manufacturing and assembly of precision ordnance devices in a production environment. This role involves mechanical and electronic assembly, including precision soldering work under magnification, while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical and electronic assembly of ordnance components

  • Perform precision soldering under a microscope (required)

  • Operate assembly equipment under supervision

  • Weigh and press pyrotechnic powders in accordance with safety guidelines

  • Conduct self-inspections to ensure quality and compliance with specifications

  • Meet established production standards, schedules, and quality metrics (including production and scrap targets)

  • Accurately report production run times and quantities

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

  • Promptly communicate production issues, out-of-tolerance parts, or equipment concerns to leadership

  • Follow all company, customer, and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Hands-on experience soldering under a microscope (required)

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and production travelers

  • Experience using standard measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.)

  • Minimum one year of manufacturing experience preferred

  • Basic math skills (percentages, measurements, weight, and volume calculations)

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, chemicals, noise, and explosive materials

  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods (majority of shift)

  • Lift up to 20 lbs

  • Ability to work with microscopes and pass a color vision test

  • 20/20 vision (corrected acceptable) and adequate hearing required

This position is ideal for candidates with strong fine-motor skills, experience in precision electronic assembly, and the ability to work in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
