Sign & Marking Specialist

Located in Alexandria, LA

Salary: 15.27

• Install, replace, and maintain all traffic signs and pavement markings.
• Paint and mark curbs, crosswalks, and parking areas.
• Trim trees, shrubs, and other obstructions that block the visibility of signs.
• Set up barricades, detours, and other traffic control measures for special events and emergencies.
• Ensure all signage and markings meet standards.
• Maintain sign inventory and order replacement materials as needed.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment such as jackhammers, post pullers, chainsaws, drills, laser stripers, and bucket trucks.
• Perform vehicle and equipment inspections, routine maintenance, and report any major repair needs.
• Assist in data collection using traffic counters and prepare related reports.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year in street maintenance, traffic sign installation, or pavement marking preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
