Job Title: Electronic Assembler

Position Summary

The Electronic Assembler is responsible for assembling electronic components, subassemblies, products, and systems according to production specifications and quality standards. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret work orders, production drawings, and sample assemblies; follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Position and align parts in jigs, fixtures, or other holding devices to ensure proper assembly.
  • Assemble components using hand tools, power tools, and equipment to crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, solder, cement, press-fit, or otherwise secure parts.
  • Mount components such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets onto printed circuit boards (PCBs).
  • Route and connect component lead wires to printed circuits, terminals, connectors, and contact points using soldering and bonding techniques.
  • Install completed assemblies or subassemblies into cases or cabinets.
  • Attach hardware including caps, clamps, knobs, switches, and related components.
  • Perform intermediate assembly processes such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, and epoxy bonding.
  • Press, shape, or wind component parts using hand or small power tools.
  • Trim or adjust materials to meet specified electrical or dimensional requirements.
  • Conduct in-process go/no-go testing and inspections using magnification devices, measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment to ensure compliance with production standards.
  • Perform detailed assembly work under microscopes or magnification devices as required.
  • Assist with wave soldering of printed circuit boards when needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety procedures at all times.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to solder proficiently.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Strong visual acuity for detailed inspection and assembly work.
  • General knowledge of hand tools and small power tools.
  • Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently (self-starter) and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates pride in craftsmanship and finished product quality.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to use hands for fine manipulation and repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work under magnification for detailed assembly tasks.
