We are seeking a Production Planner/Scheduler to join our team in Chino, CA. This position is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials between production cells and departments to guarantee accurate and timely execution of orders to satisfy Customers’ needs. As part of this effort, the production planner creates and distributes production schedules; confers with other departments to determine progress of work and completion dates; reviews inventory levels and participates in resolving production problems. 

 

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $ 70,000 - $ 85,000  (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) WHAT YOU WILL DO

 

·        Develop, prepare, and maintain production schedules to guide the production activities and resources.

·        Accurately create and maintain bills of material, routings, and work orders.

·        Accurately maintain MRP data to ensure proper stocking levels on both manufactured and purchased parts.

·        Plan and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.

·        Prepare daily and weekly status reports.

·        Prepares purchase requisitions to obtain purchased parts and materials.

·        Communicates outside service needs through work orders, requisitions, and reports.

·        Interacts with plant management and supervisory team daily, to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies and communicate status of orders as requested by Customer Service.

·        Researches order and delivery discrepancies and resolves MRP related issues. Takes appropriate corrective actions to prevent issues and delays.

·        Issue and release work order packages (traveler) including work orders, drawings, instructions for manufacturing operations, quality checklists and required product identification labels.

 

 

WHAT WE REQUIRE

 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent with additional college credits or degree preferred in business or supply chain management 
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant production planning experience in a manufacturing environment 
  • Experienced in forecasting inventory purchasing requirements
  • Ability to utilize MRP and ERP systems.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, Word, Excel and, Access
  • Must have a working knowledge of inventory control and scheduling.

 

WHAT WE PREFER

·       Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or supply chain management; or equivalent combination of education and experience

·       Experience in cell driven Industrial Manufacturing production planning
