R Stamp Welder

We are seeking a skilled and certified R Stamp Welder. In this role, you will perform code-compliant welding, repairs, alterations, and fabrication on pressure-retaining items in accordance with the National Board Inspection Code (NBIC) and ASME standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding repairs and alterations on pressure vessels and related equipment in compliance with NBIC R Stamp requirements.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, welding procedures, and technical drawings.
• Ensure all welds meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment, tools, and machinery.
• Document work performed, including repair forms, quality control records, and procedure compliance.
• Collaborate with inspectors, engineers, and quality team members.
• Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• R Stamp certification (NBIC) – required.
• Proven experience performing code welding on pressure vessels and pressure-retaining items.
• Proficiency with SMAW, GTAW, and/or other relevant welding processes.
• Ability to pass all required welding tests.
• Strong understanding of ASME, NBIC, and applicable code requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld procedure specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in confined spaces, heights, or varying temperatures as required by job tasks.
• Ability to stand, bend, climb, and perform manual work for extended periods.
