Materials Technician

Express Employment is recruiting a detail-oriented and motivated Materials Technician to join our client’s team. In this role, you will support quality control and materials management for ongoing projects, ensuring all materials meet required specifications, industry standards, and internal expectations. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and an interest in working with construction or manufacturing documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, track, and verify materials used in projects
• Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with project specifications
• Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
• Maintain accurate documentation and records
• Communicate with project teams to resolve material-related issues
• Support continuous improvement and lean practices where applicable

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, specifications, and other technical prints
• Basic math skills and strong problem-solving ability
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Exposure to lean concepts is a plus
