Job Summary:  

Entry-level buyer/planner responsible for executing purchase orders (POs) using MRP/ERP/Kanban, maintaining a clean order book, following up with suppliers, and escalating risks promptly. Professional, team-oriented, detail-driven with strong math and written skills.

 Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Execute purchase orders per MRP signals, Kanban, and engineering driven demand.
  • Confirm acknowledgments and delivery dates within SLA; keep order book current.
  • Track shipments, ASNs, and potential disruptions; escalate risks early.
  • Ensure accurate PO terms (price, UOM, lead time, MOQ, Incoterms).
  • Support basic inventory tasks (ROP checks, cycle-count follow-up).
  • Document communications and actions in ERP; maintain audit trail.
  • Ability to work with and as a team.
  • Get along with others, not creating an offensive or hostile work environment.
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds and 41+ pounds as a two-person lift.

 Education and Experience:

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or zero to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic procurement and logistics terminology preferred.
