Express Employment Professionals in Metairie is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic II for a client in Kenner. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical experience who is eager to learn and grow across multiple skilled trades.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Repair and rebuild small tools and machinery using shop manuals

• Identify and maintain inventories of spare and repair parts

• Repair and maintain various industrial equipment and machinery

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on industrial equipment and systems

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment

• Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred

• Experience in electro/mechanical fields such as automotive, HVAC, appliance, small engine repair, etc.

• Excellent mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn all skilled trades

• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment

• Ability to follow instructions and work closely with senior technicians

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking

• Must be able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
