Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring Non-Woven Operators for a textile manufacturing facility producing premium polyester nonwoven fabrics. This role involves operating and monitoring specialized textile machinery used in fiber blending, processing, and finishing operations.

We are seeking dependable candidates with strong mechanical aptitude who can maintain production quality, monitor equipment performance, and ensure efficient operation of textile production lines.

Responsibilities

As a Non-Woven Operator, your responsibilities will include:

Operating non-woven textile production machinery to manufacture polyester nonwoven fabrics.
Monitoring machine performance and adjusting settings to optimize production efficiency.
Working with textile production equipment including:
- Slither machines used to cut fibers
- Blending machines used to mix fiber materials
- Mix house and carding systems used to prepare fibers before processing
- Mallow machines used in final textile production processes
Ensuring fiber blends are properly mixed before entering production lines.
Conducting routine machine checks and preventative maintenance.
Troubleshooting minor machine issues and performing basic repairs.
Performing quality control inspections on finished materials, verifying weight, strength, texture, and appearance.
Maintaining accurate production logs, including machine performance and material usage.
Following all safety procedures and maintaining a clean production environment.

Requirements

Prior experience working in manufacturing, textiles, or machine operation preferred.
Ability to monitor machinery and adjust production settings.
Strong attention to detail for quality control inspections.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
Ability to lift materials and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Reliable attendance and consistent work history preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Skills & Qualifications

Machine operation in textile or manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of fiber processing or textile production processes a plus.
Ability to monitor product consistency and quality.
Basic equipment troubleshooting skills.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to maintain production records and logs.

Shifts & Hours

1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
3rd Shift: 12:00 AM – 7:00 AM
Full-Time
Overtime may be available based on production needs

Pay & Benefits

$16.00 – $18.00 per hour, based on experience.
Weekly pay through Express Employment Professionals.
