CAD Drafter– Baton Rouge

FULL-TIME

$25 / Hr.

Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm

 

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is seeking a Drafting and CAD Technician for a local manufacturing company in East Baton Rouge.  The primary responsibility will be using CuteCAD to draft 2D models and dimensioned drawings of gaskets.  Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED for the CAD Drafter: 

• Using CuteCAD, draft & create 2D models and dimensioned drawings of gaskets while ensuring proper performance.
• The accuracy, clarity, tolerability, and timeliness of shop and installation drawings.
• Proper selection and utilization of finished stock numbers and appropriate manufacturing data.
• The timeliness and accuracy of providing technical support for all departments, including customer service, sales, materials control, manufacturing, and production.
• The collection, filing, maintenance, and accessibility of all technical information.
• Provide calculations as requested by other departments and customers.
• Willing to also operate the CNC Plasma Cutter table. 
• Ability to do other tasks as needed.

 EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Solid-based CAD software experience. (CuteCAD experience preferred)
• Familiar with manufacturing practices, techniques, and procedures
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance Procedures and techniques.
• Must project a strong customer focus, deal diplomatically with coworkers and project a positive corporate image.
• Good organizational skills, able to establish priorities and work to specific deadlines.
• Previous experience performing a similar role in a production manufacturing environment is preferred.
