Specialized Recruiting Group, Irvine is seeking a R&D Chemist for an award-winning beauty products manufacturing company. This is a permanent, evaluation hire, career opportunity based in the Irvine, CA area. Starting compensation is $24.00 to $35.00/hour.

 

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine new personal care formulations from concept through final product.
• Research and assess new ingredients and suppliers to support innovation and cost optimization.
• Conduct small-scale product evaluations to validate performance and stability.
• Troubleshoot and improve existing formulas to enhance quality and consistency.
• Support the transition of formulations from development batches to commercial manufacturing.
• Ensure all formulations comply with applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

 

Requirements

• At least two years of formulation experience within the personal care or related consumer products industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline relevant to product development.
• Strong understanding of formulation principles, ingredient compatibility, and product stability.
• Skilled in evaluating product performance during early-stage testing.
