Service Associate I

Location: Mesa, AZ
Schedule: 5 hours per day, Monday–Friday (additional hours may be available based on workload)
Position Type: Part-Time, Hourly

Position Overview

The Service Associate I plays a vital role in supporting client retention and delivering exceptional service. This position ensures clients receive timely, accurate assistance while proactively identifying opportunities to minimize risk and strengthen coverage.

We are looking for someone with great energy, a positive and upbeat attitude, and a “get-it-done” mindset. The ideal candidate brings enthusiasm to the workplace, creates a welcoming environment for clients, and takes initiative to see tasks through to completion.


Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist clients in person and by phone with warmth and professionalism

  • Respond promptly to client requests, including policy changes and coverage questions

  • Maintain accurate and detailed client records in the agency management system

  • Service personal lines insurance policies

  • Prepare personal lines proposals

  • Address billing inquiries clearly and confidently

  • Identify and execute cross-selling opportunities

  • Conduct proactive client outreach (“client touches”)

  • Attend and actively participate in team meetings

  • Schedule client and internal meetings

  • Support process improvement and workflow innovation initiatives

  • Manage incoming/outgoing mail and shipping

  • Assist with opening and closing office procedures


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Ability to obtain a Property & Casualty (P/C) insurance license within 60 days of hire

  • Ability to pass a background check

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills

  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and customer database systems

  • Professional and pleasant phone presence

  • High degree of integrity and accountability

  • Collaborative team player with a positive, upbeat personality

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to get the job done


Compensation & Advancement

  • Training Period (First 60 Days): $20–$23 per hour (based on experience)

    • Employee must study employer-provided P/C licensing materials and successfully pass the licensing exam during this period.

  • Post-Licensing Increase: $1 per hour increase upon obtaining P/C license

  • Additional wage increases available upon promotion to Service Associate II and through annual performance reviews

  • Bonuses awarded at company discretion
