Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Office Clerk to provide administrative support for one of our great clients in the Little Rock area. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of tasks, including managing documents, fielding phone calls, data entry, and supporting different departments to ensure efficiency and smooth workflows. This role is essential to maintaining a productive and organized office environment.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Front Desk & Communication: Answer, screen, and transfer telephone calls, take messages, and greet visitors in a professional manner.
  • Document Management: Maintain, update, and organize physical and digital filing systems, ensuring records are easily accessible.
  • Mail & Shipping: Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail, packages, and couriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx).
  • Data Entry & Reporting: Accurately enter data into company software/spreadsheets, proofread documents, and prepare reports.
  • Office Equipment: Operate and maintain office equipment such as photocopiers, scanners, printers, and fax machines.
  • Supplies Inventory: Monitor inventory levels of office supplies (stationery, kitchen items), reorder items when necessary, and restock supply stations.
  • General Support: Assist with basic bookkeeping (processing invoices, receipts), scheduling appointments, and managing calendars for staff.
  • Compliance & Confidentiality: Maintain high standards of confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
 
Qualifications and Skills
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of previous experience in a clerical or administrative role is preferred.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Typing Speed: Ability to type accurately with a speed of at least 45–60 words per minute.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and work under pressure.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer Service: A friendly, positive attitude with a commitment to providing quality support to staff and clients.
 
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20–25 pounds.
