A large manufacturing company in the Little Rock area is hiring for PAF Operators to join their team!
 
Multiple Shifts available:
1st shift 6am to 2:30pm
2nd shift 2pm-10:30pm
3rd shift 10pm-6:30am
 
Job Summary: PAF Operator (Collar Molding)
The PAF Operator (Collar Machine) is responsible for the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of collar molding machines in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role focuses on producing specialized, high-quality molded collar fittings, conducting in-process inspections, and performing machine maintenance to ensure maximum uptime.
 
 
Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • Machine Operation & Setup: Operate collar molding machines, including start-up and shutdown procedures, and perform machine changeovers.
  • Quality Inspection: Visually inspect parts for defects and use precision measurement tools (e.g., Ohmmeters, calipers) to ensure collars meet quality specifications.
  • Process Optimization: Monitor machine parameters (temperature, pressure) to ensure efficient production and, if necessary, adjust settings to improve yield.
  • Finishing Tasks: Trim, de-gate, and remove excess material (flash) from molded parts.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform preventative maintenance on machine tools and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, including tool records, run profiles, and scrap logs.
  • Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized work area (5S standards) and strictly adhere to all safety protocols.
     
 
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in injection molding or similar machine operation is generally required (or preferred).
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with plastic molding techniques, tooling functions, and troubleshooting.
  • Physical Ability: Capable of standing/walking for long shifts (up to 12 hours) and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow strict, detailed work instructions and quality procedures.
     
 
Working Conditions
  • High-volume manufacturing factory environment.
  • Exposure to machine noise and, in some cases, heat.
  • Requires the use of safety equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots).
