Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to perform diagnostics, service, and repairs on construction equipment at customer job sites. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills across engine, hydraulic, electrical, and transmission systems. The ideal candidate is self-directed, safety-focused, and committed to delivering high-quality service in a field-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform service and repairs on construction equipment at customer job sites
Troubleshoot and repair engine, hydraulic, electrical, transmission, and related systems
Operate equipment safely to diagnose mechanical and technical issues
Provide professional, service-oriented support to customers and supervisors
Order parts using equipment parts manuals and online systems
Complete detailed service reports and accurately enter data into computer systems
Maintain compliance with safety standards and wear required PPE
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Completion of a formal technical training program (preferred)
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a service or repair environment
Strong diagnostic and repair skills in engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and transmissions
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and equipment diagnostic software
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and provide your own tools
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and email)
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules as needed
Team-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Military experience encouraged
Experience working in field service environments
Familiarity with CAT equipment programs
