Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Small Engine Mechanic. This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of small engine equipment used in daily field operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and able to work independently in a fast-paced shop environment. This is a steady, long-term opportunity with room to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair gas and electric golf carts
Perform maintenance and repairs on small engines (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.)
Conduct routine preventative maintenance and inspections
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
Maintain accurate service records and work orders
Ensure shop organization and safe working conditions
Communicate repair timelines and equipment status clearly
Qualifications
Experience working on small engines and/or golf carts
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely
Mechanical aptitude with attention to detail
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with both gas and electric engine systems
Previous experience in a landscaping or outdoor equipment setting
Basic knowledge of electrical systems and battery diagnostics
