Sanitation Worker – Cold Storage (Produce Company)

Position Summary

The Sanitation Worker – Cold Storage is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and food-safe environment within refrigerated warehouse and produce handling areas. This role ensures compliance with food safety standards while working in cold-temperature conditions to protect product quality and prevent contamination.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize cold storage rooms, loading docks, and produce handling areas.
• Wash and sanitize floors, walls, drains, racks, pallets, and equipment.
• Remove trash, organic waste, and damaged produce promptly.
• Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and company food safety policies.
• Use and properly store cleaning chemicals in compliance with safety guidelines.
• Operate cleaning equipment (pressure washers, floor scrubbers, foamers).
• Maintain cleanliness of refrigeration units and condensation areas.
• Complete sanitation logs and documentation accurately.
• Report spills, product contamination, pest issues, or safety hazards.
• Assist during third-party audits or inspections when needed.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $10.00 per hour
• Schedule: 10:00 AM – Close (end time varies based on daily operations)
• Overtime may be required as needed.
