Express Employment in Windsor is hiring general laborers to work in a lumber yard in South Windsor. This is a very physical job, and you are working outside in all weather. If you have experience in landscaping, construction or other heavy-lifting industries, this could be a career opportunity for you! 

Job: Yard Laborer

Schedule: Mon - Friday 7:00 am-3:20pm

Pay: $18.50/hr  

Responsibilities: 

• Perform general yard labor, including piling and stacking lumber (6ft for drying and 4ft for stabilizing).
• Lift lumber (sometimes 50+ lbs), bend and twist while handling material, and work both on the ground and atop lumber piles up to 5 feet high.
• Use of chainsaws and forklifts.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of consistent work history within related fields.
• Ability to work on your feet all shift, in all types of weather.
• Ability to lift/move 50lbs.
