Construction Framer
Located in Sarnia, ON
Salary: $20.00/Hour
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, blueprint reading, and concrete forming, with the ability to work efficiently on various framing projects. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality building projects, including restoration, siding, and structural framing. Candidates should be comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and performing heavy lifting. A solid understanding of schematics, woodworking, and concrete finishing is essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute framing projects
- Construct and install wood and steel frameworks for buildings, walls, floors, and ceilings
- Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks as required for foundation or structural support
- Operate power tools such as saws, drills, and welding equipment safely and effectively
- Use hand tools for precise carpentry work and assembly of framing components
- Assist with siding installation and restoration projects to ensure durability and aesthetic quality
- Handle heavy lifting of materials and equipment to meet project demands
- Operate heavy equipment as needed for site preparation or material transportation
- Maintain a clean work environment and always adhere to safety protocols
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or framing roles with knowledge of concrete forming and finishing techniques
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and woodworking techniques
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Physical strength to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
- Prior experience with restoration projects or siding installation is desirable
