Project Estimator/ Planner

Overview:
Responsible for preparing comprehensive estimates for large and complex projects, ensuring accurate conceptual and total bid pricing. This includes analyzing project requirements, coordinating with various departments, and reviewing estimates for accuracy and completeness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate requests for estimates and ensure timely completion.

• Prepare estimates for planning, scheduling, and project management.

• Develop basic schedules to provide lead times for clients.

• Review and revise estimates for accuracy.

• Perform take-offs from construction documents and input data into spreadsheets.

• Coordinate with the Purchasing Department for material pricing.

• Identify and report inaccuracies or omissions in estimates.

• Obtain subcontractor bids when necessary.

• Conduct PO handoff meetings with project managers.

• Maintain job folders and ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree or 5-8 years of related experience.

• Proficiency in estimating and spreadsheet software.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, and construction documents.

• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.

• Effective communication and report-writing abilities.
