Controller / Human Resource Manager

Position Summary

Allpass Corporation, a precision machining and manufacturing company located in Madison, Ohio, is seeking a highly organized and experienced Controller / Human Resource Manager to oversee financial operations and lead all HR functions. This dual-role position is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in a small-to-mid-sized manufacturing environment and can manage both strategic oversight and day-to-day operations.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Management (Controller Duties)

  • Oversee all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, payroll, general ledger, and cost accounting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulations

  • Coordinate annual audits and tax preparation with external CPA firms

  • Monitor manufacturing costs, job costing, and inventory controls

  • Develop and implement internal financial controls and process improvements

  • Provide financial reporting and analysis to leadership for strategic decision-making

Human Resource Management (HR Duties)

  • Administer payroll, benefits, and compensation programs

  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and employee retention strategies

  • Maintain employee records and ensure HR compliance with labor laws

  • Oversee performance management and employee development initiatives

  • Handle employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, workers’ compensation, FMLA, and employment regulations

  • Coordinate training programs and policy development

  • Manage health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefit vendors


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing

  • Strong understanding of cost accounting and financial reporting

  • Experience managing HR functions in a small to mid-sized company

  • Knowledge of federal and Ohio employment laws

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

  • High level of integrity and confidentiality

Preferred:

  • CPA or SHRM certification

  • Experience in precision machining or manufacturing environments

  • Familiarity with ERP systems
